We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant and supportive school in Colindale, London. This exciting, part-time position is focused on boosting children's learning through targeted interventions in numeracy and literacy, particularly for those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team, providing essential support in the classroom while working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to deliver interventions that will help bridge gaps in learning. Application Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 2 and with SEN experience.
• A passion for working with children, particularly those with learning difficulties.
• Ability to work effectively with small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting children's learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of booster sessions and interventions, focusing on numeracy and literacy, to help children catch up.
• Work with children on a 1:1 and small group basis to support their academic progress, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
• Provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring that learning activities are accessible and effective.
• Assist the classroom teacher in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
• Help assess students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers, contributing to progress reports and reviews.
