Currently recruiting for an experienced Draughtsperson on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas service company based in Cove, Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Lead Draughtsperson, the Draughtsperson will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
* Developing general arrangement, machining, fabrication and proposal drawings and BOM’s in line with company standards.
* Performing dimensional checks of drawings to ensure they are correct and done to the company standard.
* Creating and checking part numbers and Bills of Material (BOM’s) in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software.
* Creating and checking product datasheets.
* Revising existing drawings, datasheets and part numbers as required.
* Liaising with Engineers, Machine Shop, Welding, QA and Sales Departments.
* Draughting accurate product profiles or 3D models for the purposes of engineering analysis work and machine shop programming.
* Ensuring all records are kept up to date and in line with company standards.
Experience/Qualifications:
* An HNC/HND qualification in an engineering discipline would be preferred.
* Previous experience in a similar role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role, directly within a machine shop/fabrication shop/workshop type environment, would be preferred.
* Applicants should have experience with AutoCAD.
* Experience with a CAD management system, such as Autodesk Vault, would be preferred.
* Experience with Autodesk Inventor would be preferred.
* Applicants should have experience in creating part numbers and BOM’s in MRP software.
* Applicants should have an excellent understanding of geometry and drawing principles, machining tolerances and dimensioning principles.
