Health & Safety Manager - Biowaste and Organics
Based: Selby North Yorkshire
Package: £45,000 - £50,000 basic (experience dependant).

This rapidly expanding business operates 4 sites across Yorkshire and Humber offering a wide range of waste services.
Health and Safety Manager Role & Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
* Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
* Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
* Experience working to ISO accreditation - Managing current company ISO14001 and implementing other ISO.
* NEBOSH -Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
* Proven experience as a Safety Manager.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
* Ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective actions.
* Strong leadership abilities to influence and drive a culture of safety compliance.
Salary: Dependant on experience
Holiday Allowance: 30 days increasing by one day each year of service, to max 35 days allowance.
Additional Package Details:
Salary: £45-50k dependent on skills and experience

Holiday Entitlement: 30 Days pro- rata with an additional day per year to 35 days after 5 years’ service.
