LOCATION: Carrickfergus JOB TITLE: Accounts Assistant SALARY: Competitive RESPONSIBLE TO: Company Accountant KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Liaise with sub-contractors and maintain data base to ensure bank details and CIS details are up to date prior to processing payments. Process sterling and euro invoices for payment via Construct and Sage 200 in line with CIS, RCT and VAT requirements. Build relationships with our commercial team to ensure our sub-contractors are paid in line with payment terms and contractual requirements. Submission of monthly CIS tax returns to HMRC and RCT to revenue commissioners. Reconciliation of sterling & euro cash flows. Reconcile UK and Irish sub-contractors tax in line with government legislation before payments are made. Submission of UK, Irish and Foreign VAT returns, statistical forms and returns to TSS. To participate and support all Company initiatives with compliance of procedures and requirements for ISO & 45001, FSC and Investors in People Standards. Any other duties required for the effective operation of the post as deemed by Management. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential 5 GCSEs including English Language & Mathematics at Grade A to C (or equivalent) A minimum of 1 years recent relevant experience of working in an office environment. Desirable Relevant accountancy qualifications or certifications. Experience of using Sage 200. Experience of using Eque2 costing system. Skills Effective communication skills. Attention for detail and abilityto work on own initiative. Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel.
