About the area The Risk, Integrity, Safety, and Compliance (RISC) division is dedicated to embedding a strong risk management culture across the University. It leads the strategic implementation of enterprise risk management, health and safety, compliance, and insurance, supporting UWA's vision of excellence. Within RISC, the Strategic Assurance team plays a critical role in delivering structured risk management, internal audit, and insurance initiatives. About the opportunity Enhance UWA’s risk management practices, fostering a positive, risk-aware culture. Provide expert advice, training, and reports to support risk management and compliance governance. Oversee the University’s insurance program, including coverage, claims processes, and stakeholder engagement. About you Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in risk management and/or insurance. Extensive experience in risk management and/or insurance practices, including policy development and claims processes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in developing training materials and promoting risk awareness across diverse audiences.
