This exciting opportunity will support enableCV a subsidiary of Edwards LifeSciences, a differentiated business, as it is established as a new independent medical device company. The role of Senior Director, European Sales will assist in the transition to enableCV while supporting active programs in commercial production and new product development and introduction. EnableCV’s home office is based in Midvale, Utah USA. However, this role will be a remote, traveling sales position within the company. Bi-annual travel to the enableCV home office is required. It is preferred that the chosen candidate reside within the UK, Italy, France, Spain, or Germany in order to actively support the company’s European sales objectives. Essential Job Functions
· Identify, evaluate, and execute sales opportunities throughout Europe; with the goal to achieve the annual plan for the Edwards Protective Cannulae and Minimally Invasive Surgical (EPC/MIS) portfolio.
· Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of near-term and long-term sales projects and activities. Assist in market analyses to develop new customers. Collaborate on identifying and implementing business opportunities.
· Build strong relationships with customers and KOLs, medical societies, and government agencies to raise awareness and support for the EPC/MIS portfolio and maintain/improve pricing strategy.
· Develop relationships and supports customers and partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including technical, and marketing support.
· Develop new sales channels throughout the EU including distribution and independent sales agents.
· Collect and share sales, marketing, and other information about competitors with management, to drive accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions.
· Help interpret analyses, draw conclusions, and prepare and present findings on trends (e.g. sales growth, market trends) to sales management and internal stakeholder.
Required Skills
· Hands-on sales experiences in the medical devices industry essential, experience in the cardiovascular field in Europe is greatly desired.
· Experience with developing sales distribution for a medical device is essential, candidates with cardio-thoracic or surgical device sales experience are strongly desired, particularly candidates with experience in the EU (Germany, Italy France, Benelux, UK etc)
· Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
· Good team player, self-motivated, result oriented, problem solver with strong ownership skills.
· Proactive multi-tasker who is trustworthy and that can make progress without direct oversight.
· Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders indirectly and cross functionally.
· Fluency in the English language is required.
· Strong business acumen including financial understanding.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and related tools and applications.
· Ability to be flexible, agile, and implement changes and strategy with ease
· A natural leader that is patient and willing to mentor others and assist customers with competency and care.
· A focused Sales professional that is willing to execute the strategic and tactical work necessary to grow new business and develop and support existing business.
· A professional that understands the customer comes first, we are very patient focused and will not compromise saving the lives of patients for sales.

· Travel 30%-40% - there will be travel required to support customers, hospitals, and occasional annual meetings, events, national sales meetings etc.
· This role has a base salary as well as a performance-based variable compensation component. Variable compensation will be based on total EU sales. Total Compensation = Base Salary (Starting $150k) + Bonus (Variable Comp)
Education/Experience
· At least 7 - 10 years or more of progressive sales in Lifesciences, medical device or related field.
· Medical device sales, Cardio-thoracic, and cardiovascular experience greatly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, Master's degree is preferred but not required.
· Candidates who speak English and German may be given priority. Fluent English speaking is required for this role. Speaking German, French, or Italian as a second language is a huge plus!
