Job Purpose
The role involves driving continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and operational excellence within a high-speed manufacturing environment. The candidate will lead initiatives to enhance line performance, address bottlenecks, improve quality metrics, and reduce waste while ensuring safety and compliance standards are upheld.
Roles And Responsibilities
1. Conduct 4-block updates on focus lines and generate initiatives to restore lines to target performance levels (LSA).
2. Analyze data from MES, PAB, and VOA to guide shift teams on resolving issues and focusing on KPI actions.
3. Drive center-lining activities for sustained line efficiency and implement Poke-yoke solutions for process improvements.
4. Lead quality enhancement projects to reduce TQN and QN in alignment with company metrics.
5. Identify and execute waste reduction opportunities and safety improvements.
6. Resolve recurring losses using systematic problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
7. Provide engineering updates in meetings, allocating resources and timelines to address losses.
8. Support CI projects and validations to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
9. Improve maintenance standards by analyzing problem-solving outcomes and providing feedback to the Reliability Leader.
10. Coach teams on continuous improvement methodologies and tools while supporting equipment breakdowns when necessary.
Must-Have Qualifications
1. HNC or Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of technical or manufacturing experience, particularly with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment.
3. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in safety and ergonomics within a manufacturing environment.
4. Strong understanding of quality systems and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
5. Confident and quick decision-making capabilities under pressure.
6. Experience in a busy manufacturing environment; some PLC experience preferred but not essential.
