A highly reputable and well-established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join its permanent staff team in Ashton-under-Lyne. Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to assist in delivering high-quality education and provide targeted support to pupils across different age ranges and abilities. The role will involve working with small groups, supporting individual students, and contributing to the overall positive learning environment within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Provide support to individual pupils and small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
* Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress, offering constructive feedback where necessary.
* Support the management of classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning resources and materials.
* Provide care and supervision for pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Essential Requirements:
* A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience of supporting teaching and learning within a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
* Knowledge of strategies to support literacy, numeracy, and behaviour management.
