The Interventional Radiology department at Musgrove Park has a vacancy in its team of band six specialist radiographers working in IR, cardiac catheterisation labs and fluoroscopy along with rotation through projectional imaging. The main objective for the IR Radiographer is to aid diagnosis and treatment during image guided procedures. You'll be required to facilitate high quality imaging for fast diagnosis during cardiac and vascular emergencies and the procedures that aid patient treatment in acute and chronic illness.
Every year we see and treat over 450,000 patients, either through our emergency department, for elective or day surgery, or as outpatients. We also provide some specialist services for the whole of Somerset, making our catchment population around 544,000 in addition we provide emergency vascular services for Somerset and some parts of Dorset covering a population of around 800,000 people.
