Location: Stratford, East London (7-minute walk from Stratford Station)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: £120-£155 per day
Are you passionate about art and supporting young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to cover Art lessons at our nurturing and inclusive SEN School based in Stratford.
Our school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. We pride ourselves on providing a creative and therapeutic environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Art lessons following the curriculum, with the support of class teachers.

Plan and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students.
*
Support students to develop their creativity, confidence, and self-expression through Art.
*
Provide one-to-one and small group support where necessary.
*
Assist with classroom management and student behaviour in line with school policies.
*
Contribute to the assessment and recording of student progress.
*
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
*
Previous experience working as a HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant, ideally in an SEN setting.
*
Strong knowledge of Art as a subject and a passion for creative learning.
*
Ability to adapt lessons to suit the needs of individual learners.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
*
Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
