Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Demobilisation Manager to join our Logistics team here at SCS Railways.
The Demobilisation Manager will join the SCS Logistics team that manages logistics across the SCS HS2 main works. They will be responsible for our Demobilisation processes across the three Delivery Units.
The Demobilisation Manager will be an integral role within the Temporary Asset Disposal Team, working in partnership with the Delivery Unit and Site Teams.
The role is aimed at plant and equipment specialists with a track record of achievement in demobilisation projects in the construction industry.

Role Responsibility
* Maximising temporary asset disposal recovery
* Create and implement policy, procedures and system requirements across the three delivery units.
* Maintenance of accurate, validated asset registers.
* Good working relationships with commercial, finance, procurement, construction, administration and HS2 teams.
* Adherence to hierarchy of disposal process
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Strategic Planning: Developing recovery programs in coordination with operational and commercial teams to ensure optimal asset utilisation and recovery, aligned with the broader project timeline.
* Centralised Asset Management: Managing a centralised physical location for all recoverable assets to ensure secure, efficient, and transparent handling.
* Auction Coordination: Liaising with SCS selected auction companies to facilitate the sale of recoverable assets, ensuring competitive market conditions and maximising returns.
* Logistical Oversight: Coordinating the physical movement of assets across various project sites, ensuring compliance with safety, legal, and financial regulations.
* Financial Tracking: Working closely with finance teams to track asset depreciation, sale proceeds, and recovery percentages, contributing to project financial health.
The Ideal Candidate
* Construction site experience and experience in managing construction equipment
* Commercial/Package Management Experience
* Project management skills
* Experience in construction site Logistics, including lifting, loading and transport.
* Team player with positive attitude
* Good IT skills
* Problem solver

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
