Job Description
Ensures that garments are embroidered, finished and customized to specifications of the customer.
Inspects and ensures finished garments meet quality standards. · Customize customer garments by operating industrial embroidery machines, according to customer specifications.
1. Reviews order and line art prior to beginning production.
2. Folding, trimming, bagging and packing of garments.
3. Maintain inventory of sewing supplies and request as needed.
4. Check garment for quality. Examines finished articles for defects, such as uneven stitching and missed stitches, to maintain qualitative standards. Examines and measures finished articles to verify conformance to standards and accuracy of order, using ruler/tape measurer.
5. Monitors machine operation to detect problems, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunction.
6. Responsible for preventive maintenance on machines either directly or through the Maintenance Technician. Lubrication of machine. Keeps machines clean and free of dust. Regulates machine settings as needed.
7. Track orders on a daily and weekly basis by completing the daily and weekly logs.
8. Continually look for better production methods, production flow, and share relevant issues, concerns, or suggestions with team leaders.
9. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the customization production area.
Qualifications
Proven record of relevant experience of embroidery, operating embroidery machines, sewing / alterations and heat sealing.
