About the Role
This post is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our friendly clinical pharmacy team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to work alongside an existing post holder in an expanded portfolio in partnership with lead clinical pharmacists, to spearhead the development of existing and new roles in this area for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers. This role will:
1. Play a key role in the day-to-day management and continued development and transformation of pharmacy technician and pharmacy support worker roles on the Little France Campus.
2. Work alongside the other lead clinical pharmacy technicians across the NHS Lothian Pharmacy services to provide and lead high quality pharmaceutical services to NHS Lothian patients.

About you
We’re looking for someone:
1. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
2. Hold a National Certificate in Pharmacy Services and Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
3. Completed the HN unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award (provided by Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before).
4. HNC Pharmacy Services Development and Management or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence.
5. PDA – Assessment and Supply of Individual Patients’ Medicines.
6. Hold a recognised work-based assessor’s certificate. (If a certificate has not already been achieved, it is required to be obtained within 24 months of starting in the position.)
