The Role The role of Junior Merchandiser is to potentialise the trading of stores/web sites across the US, UK and EU markets. This is an exciting and dynamic role in which you will be maximising sales, managing stock and undertaking key analysis to achieve KPI’s. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute, ambitious & confident person who is already operating at junior merchandiser/merchandiser level within a business that has both physical retail store locations and at least one DTC transactional website. Main Duties & Responsibilities Achieving department KPI’s in line with strategy and department plan, maximising sales and profit Prepare & review weekly, monthly and seasonal trade and inventory performance reports to provide actionable insights to the team Compile in depth seasonal product reviews, highlighting hits, misses and opportunities for upcoming seasons Responsible for preparation, presentation and ordering of range buys in line with company strategy and store requirements, including lessons learnt from previous seasons Oversee correct allocations to Retail & E-commerce channels, optimizing inventory distribution Coordinate with operations to monitor and manage delivery schedule, ensuring timely market launches Applying knowledge of the current competitive market place (comparative shopping) Support in opening new stores & websites, closures and space changes, tailoring individual demographic requirements to build stock packages Propose sale & promotional mark down lines for mid-season and end of season sales/promotional events Providing post-event analysis/recommendations Assist retail/ecommerce in the visual merchandising of stock, making regular recommendations to further drive sell-through maximising profit/margin. Support in the training and development of the Merchandising Assistant Essential Skills and Experience Strong Merchandising skills with at least 4 years’ experience in a merchandising role Experience with Retail Store & Ecommerce Merchandising from a reputable brand with a DTC proposition Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems and to be fully conversant with standard business desktop applications Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills Comfortable with presenting complex analysis to Senior Management Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Retail, Ecommerce, Marketing and Operations teams Strong interpersonal/communication skills Shopify and/or Retail Pro experience (an advantage)· Flexible & able to Multi-task – ability to adjust to work processes or procedures, adapt to others, work effectively and in a positive manner when under pressure or in ambiguous situations.
