What skills and experience we're looking for
ESSENTIAL
Qualified Teacher Status Honours degree in Maths
Successful completion of secondary school experience at KS3/KS4/KS5 in Maths
Experience of robust self evaluation and development planning linked to this
Experience of coaching other staff so that their classroom practice develops
Proven record of using ICT to enhance learning and teaching.
Evidence of keeping up to date with NC developments in Maths and teaching and learning strategies.
Outstanding Classroom practitioner
Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues/students and parents
Use initiative and solve problems
Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal forms.
Good record keeping/monitoring of work.
Ability to work effectively with partner schools and organisations to support educational developments.
Good knowledge and understanding
of Maths syllabus up to AS/A2 level.
Sympathy with the school mission statement.
Able to work effectively within a team setting.
Excellent time management skills
Self motivated and the ability to motivate other people.
Ability to use initiative
Commitment to ongoing developments and improvements.
Flexible approach to work.
Enhanced DBS check
DESIRABLE
Relevant further qualifications related to Maths
or teaching and learning.
Experience of leading staff development.
Knowledge of innovative techniques to enhance learning especially through the use of ICT.
