Solutions Architect
Duration: 6 months (with potential for 12+ month engagement)
Location: Remote, with infrequent travel to Plymouth, Bristol, Warwick
We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team, reporting to the Principal Architecture. This role involves representing our high-profile Utilities client and primarily working on a critical migration project to transition on-premises HR/corporate systems to a Group-wide cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Migration Projects: Oversee the migration of on-premises HR systems to the Group cloud platform, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless integration.
* Architecture Activities: Assist with various architecture-related tasks as required, contributing to the overall architectural strategy and execution.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact, liaising with multiple stakeholders within and external to the client to ensure alignment and effective communication.
* Project Leadership: Drive complex architecture projects to successful completion, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
* Governance and Alignment: Collaborate with operations teams to ensure architecture governance and alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
* Integration Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for integrating corporate applications around the HR domain, bridging the gap between on-premises systems and cloud-based solutions.
* System Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of current systems, identify capability gaps, and work with Group architects to define the “AS IS” state and future integration plans.
* Challenge Identification: Identify and address challenges and complexities in the migration process, ensuring a smooth transition and adherence to governance standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Group architects and delivery teams to ensure that the implementation aligns with the defined architecture and governance framework.
Skills and Experience:
* HR Systems Expertise: Strong background in HR systems and experience with migration projects desirable.
* Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage complex architecture projects, delivering successful outcomes.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
* Technical Proficiency: Experience with SAP and cloud platforms is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of architecture principles and practices.
