Senior Engineer (Corrosion Protection)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: UK national travel combined with work from home/Hybrid. Head Office located in Shropshire.
Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, some weekend work will be involved. Must be flexible to travel and work abroad.
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 p.a. depending on experience + Company Vehicle + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday + Daily allowance for when working away.
Our client are specialists in corrosion protection providing a range of services related to corrosion prevention, materials selection, and failure analysis. They work with industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and infrastructure to help them address corrosion-related challenges and optimise the performance and integrity of their assets. Their services may include corrosion risk assessment, corrosion control strategies, materials testing, and expert advice on corrosion-related issues. This role will focus on Cathodic Protection.
The Role:
1. Operational planning and execution of the field engineering team.
2. Provide Cathodic Protection technical support to the on-site engineers.
3. Develop new and already implemented corrosion control strategies.
4. Assist with conducting Cathodic Protection Corrosion audits.
5. Assist with implementation, supervision and project management.
6. Assist with planned maintenance and monitoring of cathodic protection systems.
7. Recommend appropriate materials and strategies to the engineering team.
8. Build reports based on findings on site.
9. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate the technology.
Skills/Experience:
1. Previous experience working within Cathodic Protection is essential.
2. CP Level 2 or higher is required.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4. Happy with some weekend work and flexibility to stay away and travel abroad when necessary.
5. Strong Communication skills.
6. Familiarity with industry standards and codes including NACE.
7. Full UK Driving Licence.
