Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist
ICR is a leading company in the industry, and we are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to join our team.
Role Purpose:
The successful candidate will provide professional advice, guidance, and support to the ICR Group with regard to the implementation of, and adherence to Group HSSEQ Plans. This includes working activities in line with legal requirements in areas where we work and in line with Group Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementation of Group HSSEQ Improvement Plan.
* Collaboration with Operations to deliver improvements in workshop HSSEQ delivery.
* Maintenance of ICR's Business Management System (BMS) and 1Net Incident Reporting Database.
* Investigation and identification of root cause following HSSE incidents and quality-related NCRs.
* Monitoring and maintenance of legal compliance registers across the Group.
* Maintenance and implementation of the Group HSSEQ audit programme, undertaking audits as required.
* Monitoring and maintenance of focus alongside Operations on HSSEQ compliance.
* Providing advice and guidance to Operations to ensure compliance with legal requirements, e.g., PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, PPE, Manual Handling, etc.
* Promotion of ICR's core values, safety culture, and continuous improvement philosophies.
* Preparation, coordination, and delivery of monthly safety meeting presentations.
* Coordination and delivery of quarterly safety themes and HSSEQ inductions.
* Development, review, and approval of new and existing HSSEQ procedures as required.
* Support to the Commercial and Procurement Teams with regard to tenders, proposals, and client evaluations and supplier approvals.
* Other related activities as may be deemed necessary from time to time.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with previous experience in a similar relevant role, holding a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health, Safety, and/or Environment. The ideal candidate will also possess Internal Auditor qualifications to ISO 9001, 14001, and/or 45001, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
