KS1 Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Personal Care Involved) – Full-Time, Starting Easter 2025
We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with additional needs at a school in Blackburn. Starting Easter 2025, this full-time role will involve supporting the child’s academic progress as well as providing personal care, ensuring a positive and nurturing environment for their growth and development.

Hours: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 student, assisting with both academic tasks and personal care
* Support the delivery of personalised learning activities tailored to the student’s needs
* Assist with personal care routines, including mobility, hygiene, and feeding
* Promote social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Collaborate with the class teacher to track and support the student’s progress
* Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Build a supportive and trusting relationship with the student and their family
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, ideally in KS1 or with additional needs
* A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to supporting children
* Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Positive and proactive attitude in supporting the child’s individual needs
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are preferred but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
