We are seeking a motivated Junior Content Designer to join our content design team at Medway Council.
You will play a crucial role in editing, creating and maintaining high-quality content on our corporate website medway.gov.uk as well as other microsites.
About the role
You will:
* manage day-to-day requests from service areas to update or create content
* make regular content edits in our content management system
* write content that is user-focussed, accessible and in plain English
* adhere to our content style guide and standards
* maintain the quality of our content by improving SEO, fixing broken links etc.
* collaborate with service areas to ensure content is accurate, timely and effectively communicates our services and initiatives
* work with content designers to develop your skills and support with tasks.
About you
You will:
* have knowledge and experience of creating, iterating, proofreading, publishing and managing content
* be organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage various tasks
* work independently and as part of a team
* have an aptitude for learning about best practices and applying them to your work.
