Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus benefits and excellent career development opportunities
Hours: 4 On 4 Off 12 Hour Shifts (4 Days followed by 4 Nights)
Location: Commutable from Gravesend, Rochester, Aylesford, Sevenoaks, South Ockenden, Erith, Orpington, West Malling and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their premium factories on the south side of the Thames in Kent. It is a multi-skilled environment, however either bias is acceptable with help and support provided for the Maintenance Engineer to improve their weaker discipline.

Responsibilities
Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side, whether this be mechanical or electrical.
Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems. Also working through planned preventative maintenance and undertaking project work too such as new installations etc.
Requirements
Maintenance or Service background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.
Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications - this could be mechanical or electrical.
Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems etc.
Are multi-skilled across electrical & mechanical – either bias is welcome – additional Electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level is very useful.
Good fault-finding skills.
Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a team
Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the Health and Safety manual & relevant engineering standards
