PHILIP MORANT SCHOOL & COLLEGE CLEANER (16 hours per week) Pay Range: Local Government Scale 1, Point 2 Salary: £9,456 per annum Start Date: 6th January 2025 The Role We are seeking an outstanding individual to undertake cleaning within the school according to Procedures Codes using a variety of methods including machinery and adhering to safety regulations. This post is 16 hours per week, 43 weeks per year (38 weeks term time plus 1 week non-pupil days and 4 weeks working during school closure periods). The working hours are 15:30pm – 18:42pm Monday to Friday. Some of your key responsibilities will include: To carry out cleaning in all and any areas of the school. To carry out, as necessary the replacement of roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls and replacement of bin liners. To undertake training in the correct use of cleaning equipment such as floor machines, Vacs, wets pic-ups and in health and safety and the use of cleaning chemicals. To notify the Cleaning Supervisor or other senior members of staff, of any damage to buildings and equipment or of anything you see that may be dangerous to pupils and/or staff. Frequency of cleaning to be undertaken as directed by Procedure Codes. (The full details can be found in the attached Job Outline and Person Specification).
