We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a SEND child in a Key Stage 2 class. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals to provide tailored support, ensuring the child can fully participate in the curriculum and develop their social and emotional skills.
Responsibilities:
* Individualised Support: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to the child’s needs, helping them access lessons and complete tasks.
* Behavioral and Emotional Support: Implement strategies for emotional regulation and support behavioral needs in line with the child’s EHCP.
* Sensory Support: Offer sensory breaks and manage sensory needs to help the child focus and stay comfortable.
* Social Skills: Encourage positive social interactions with peers and support the child’s social development.
* Collaboration: Work with the SENDCo, class teacher, and external specialists to implement strategies and track progress.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with SEND children, preferably in a KS2 setting.
* Strong communication and behavioral management skills.
* Ability to support emotional regulation and promote independence.
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) preferred.
