JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 17 year old boy living in the Tonyrefail area. I can be a bit ‘bouncy’ like Tigger when I am happy and enjoy holding people’s hands and listening to them talk to cheer me up. Feeding me Quavers is a very good thing and I really enjoy going out in the garden and going on the swing or bouncing on the trampoline. I also enjoy going in the sensory room and love the bubble tube.
I do not like noises I am not expecting like phones ringing and do not like babies crying. I also do not like new things in the room if I do not expect them but I don’t know why! Not giving me what I want or expecting me to do things I do not want to do also upsets me.
I love meeting new people and once I meet someone I will remember them forever! I can’t stop smiling and laugh all the time. I am a fast mover so you will need to keep on your toes with your running shoes on!
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To take me out into the community to do things I enjoy or keeping me occupied and happy at home.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 6 hours per week term time and 8 hours during the school holidays to be used flexibly.
RATES OF PAY
£13.20 per hour.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
I enjoy all outdoor activities and am happiest outdoors so anything is fine and someone who will think of things to do is a bonus.
Water Play, Trampolining and being pushed on a swing are my favourites!
If we have to stay indoors then going into the sensory room and playing with musical instruments, the bubble wand and the hand wall. I like things to happen when I press buttons.
At Ash square I will need help to use the tablets but at home I have a TV I can watch YouTube on.
I’m not that keen on arts and crafts but don’t give up on me and I might change my mind with things and something might ‘grab’ me.
