We're looking for a full-time Band 5 Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of clinical research for people with cancer within the Oesophago-Gastric (OG) and Renal Research Team.
The role of the CRP will involve:
1. Recruiting patients to clinical trials
2. Obtaining informed consent where appropriate
3. Supporting patients enrolled in clinical trials
4. Ensuring study interventions are completed according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Trust standards
You will be working within a supportive team of experienced clinical research nurses and the clinical trial administration team.
The post will involve coordinating a portfolio of research studies across different specialties (OG and Renal) within the Trust. This role is ideal for individuals with an interest in and experience of working in a busy clinical/research environment who wish to further develop their skills and experience.
We are seeking candidates with:
1. Experience in working in clinical research in the NHS
2. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice
3. Clinical skills, such as phlebotomy
4. Strong communication and organisational skills
5. A flexible working approach
The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist, around 15% of patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.
