We are delighted to be recruiting for a full time temporary Information Governance Officer role based in Belfast. This Public Sector client has made a commitment to contribute and improve upon value for money across the public sector in Northern Ireland and is looking for candidates to share that passion. The role is an initial 3 month contract with potential for extension to support the Information and IT Security Officer across a number of key areas. Salary range from £28,000 - £39,000 depending on experience. Role is 37hrs per week based in University area of Belfast. Hybrid working policy in place. Interviews for this role will be Week Commencing 12 May 2025. A waiting list for similar roles will be available. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Within the area of Records and Information Management, this role will: * Assist in the implementation and review of the Organisation's Records Management Policy, and associated policies. * Assist the team in providing guidance to colleagues around records and information management * Completion of the Recording of Processing Activities (RoPA). * Assist in the development and delivery of specific training around records and information management for all staff. * Support the Information Management team, with the implementation of a new Retention & Disposal Policy. * Assist in the development of documentation e.g., staff guidance and procedural manuals. * Input to the Information Management Risk Register and Asset Register Within the area of Information Compliance, this role will: * Support the Information Management Team to ensure compliance with both the UK General Data Protection Regulation, and other relevant standards, guidance and legislation. * Assist in the processing g of information requests under the Freedom of Information Code of Practice, Subject Access Request Policy in line with ICO guidance QUALIFICATIONS: * A third-level qualification AND one years' experience working in an Information Governance/Information Management role. OR * A relevant professional qualification in an information management related area or equivalent AND a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Information Governance/Information Management role. OR * 5 GCSE's A-C (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent AND three years' experience of working in an Information Governance/Information Management role.
