Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to work in a school in Bovington, providing essential guidance and care to students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact students’ learning and well-being, helping them build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may display challenging behaviour. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure that students receive tailored interventions and support.
What you have to do as a Behaviour Support Worker:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
* Implement positive behaviour strategies to support students in managing their emotions and actions.
* Promote a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students in developing social and emotional skills to foster independence.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to create behaviour management plans tailored to students' needs.
* Act as a mentor and role model, encouraging students to engage positively with their education.
* Assist in crisis situations by implementing de-escalation strategies and offering emotional support.
Behaviour Support Worker Requirements:
* Prior experience supporting students with behavioural needs or in a similar setting is preferred.
* A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is an advantage.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Patience, resilience, and adaptability.
* Willing to work with students facing behavioural difficulties.

* Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
