As an Administration Supervisor (AS), you will be joining the Health and Housing Service, an exciting and diverse team that serves all customers across Leeds in providing adaptations.
The postholder will be responsible for managing a team of 5 staff members. The team sits at the front end of the service, and the role involves the processing of approximately 2000 referrals per year from both Adults and Childrens Social Care, in line with the Councils Best City Ambition for Children and Ageing.
There is the opportunity to carry out some hybrid and flexible working. The Health and Housing Service consists of over 70 staff, and there is the ability to progress within the service.

About you
As an Administration Supervisor, you will bring to the role:
* Ability to motivate staff and drive up performance.
* Good IT skills as there are a number of databases that you would need to interrogate.
* Engaging with customers from a diverse range of backgrounds, across all housing tenures in the city.
* Staff supervisory skills would be an advantage, but not essential.

Job Description
Shared Services consists of employees in the Business Support Centre and Business Administration Service. Both of these services provide administration support activities to a wide range of teams and services across the council. We help the council to streamline operations by redesigning processes, reviewing models of delivery to enable better sharing of resources, and exploiting existing or introducing new technology to modernise the way we work.
Our staff use a range of computer programmes and systems to support services which include those working with teams based across the council in a number of different administration roles. The role involves hybrid working (home/office depending on service need), potentially working face-to-face with customers and working within the council boundaries as required.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise and develop staff to ensure work is prioritised and carried out effectively and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met to high standards.
* Manage own workload and meet targets whilst maintaining quality as part of a team.
* Present a variety of information in a clear and concise way both through written reports and verbally with high attention to detail.
* A commitment to the continuous improvement of quality standards, business procedures, and processes through continuous review and development.
* Provide suggestions to management for the improvements of processes and services.
* Attend service-relevant meetings and take minutes when required.
* Resolve customer queries, including those of a complex nature.
