Our Discover store at Glasgow Airport is currently looking for an Warehouse Assistant to join the team. To be actively involved in the daily running of the stock room / warehouse processes and follow all stock procedures. To receive goods in deliveries and assist in transferring of stock to the shop floor as requested. Support the customer experience through stock availability and legal compliance of deliveries and controls. As a Warehouse Assistant you will also be required to help and support the shop floor if required, enabling them to increase sales and deliver consistently high standards of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities: 100% Customer Focus Greeting customers with a friendly smile Helping customers with product selection Offering additional link sales Ensuring all customers receive excellent customer service every-time End to end customer service including till operations Checking in goods Checking incoming deliveries against supplier paperwork. Picking stock for the shop floor Packing and stock safely to the shop floor Loading and unloading deliveries Storing products in their allocated locations Security of stock whilst at the stock rooms Assist in stock takes (if necessary) Assist in pricing of stock (if necessary) Transferring of stock by using SAP (in the absence of supervisors on the weekends) Security Ensure all stock/deliveries goes to the shop floor safely and securely Ensure the safe usage of equipment to transfer stock Daily inspection of the equipment to transfer stock Customs and Excise Regulations Assist Supervisor in ensuring stock is always moved in compliance with C&E regulations Assisting the Supervisors / Managers in actioning shop and warehouse breakers, in compliance with C & E regulations Health & Safety Safe usage of all manual handling equipment (pallet truck) Safe usage of all vehicles (if applicable) Responsible for being aware of any potential hazards within the warehouse and reporting them to the Manager / Supervisors / HR Dept Housekeeping Ensure warehouse is kept clean and tidy General housekeeping Dispose of all waste products in line with the airport authority guidelines Miscellaneous Ensure there is a full supply of carrier bags, boxes from the warehouse to the shop floor Responsible for wearing the correct company uniform Responsible for recording own hours on Promark Time and attendance system Be responsible for own punctuality Be prepared to undertake any ad-hoc duties required as per the needs of the business Competences Excellent teamwork Flexibility Getting things right and keeping them that way Understanding and working effectively with others Enthusiastic Responsible Able to take own initiative Person Specification: Good Communication skills (both verbal & written) Adaptability to the changing environment Ability to work in a team and individually Ability to work well under pressure Excellent Interpersonal skills Ability to provide professional standard of services Reliable in attendance and time keeping Self-motivated Our company: Lagardère Travel Retail is a pioneering global leader in the travel retail industry currently operating over 5,120 stores across Travel Essentials, Duty Free and Foodservice in airports, railway stations and other concessions in 42 countries.
