The Role: The Head of Global Client will be responsible for leading the success and growth of one of our most significant client accounts at Catalyx – across the globe. This role requires a commercially savvy, strategic thinker with a proven track record of growing large, complex, multi-brand, matrix-structured client accounts across multiple geographic regions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of innovation research and consultancy for consumer-facing brands, along with extensive experience in building and nurturing global client relationships. They should have a proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities. A background as a strategist or researcher, with a progression into a successful client leadership role, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to grow the key client account across multiple regions. Identify and engage with the key client decision-makers, fostering strong relationships and positioning Catalyx as their preferred innovation consultancy partner across their decentralized business units directly with decision makers and centrally via capabilities and procurement teams Lead and manage the European and US workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall business goals, targets and objectives. Foster a high-performance culture by providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Lead from the front, “on the pitch” mentality – a roll the sleeves up attitude towards proposal creation, client support, in the room coaching, development and leadership. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Internally collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, delivery, and product development. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the key client account, owning the most important client relationships personally, while also supporting the wider internal client team to grow their relationships under your guidance. In the Catalyx structure we see Client Development as a team sport. With Client Developers and Research Directors both working to uncover client opportunities and expanding our understanding of our client. You would be the leader and architect of that relationship to best enable overall success. Deliver high-quality, profitable proposals/solutions that address client needs and drive business growth. Conduct regular client meetings - there is an expectation of extensive travel and regular face to face contact. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the client's portfolio. Support and strengthen existing relationships to maintain strong partnerships and revenue streams. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the key client account, both in existing regions and by expanding to new business units and geographies. End-to-End Sales Ownership: Drive the complete sales process, from prospecting and impactful pitches to contract negotiation and deal closures. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and value to the key client account. Set clear goals and expectations for the team, monitor performance and provide regular feedback. Strategy Setting, Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze key account performance metrics, preparing regular reports for Head of Sales. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve account strategies and sales processes. What we’re looking for: Proven experience in senior client leadership, managing and growing key accounts, unlocking growth, and supporting a multi-functional team. Deep understanding of market research, innovation consultancy, and consumer goods industry. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to empower and motivate for high performance. Experience in cultivating long-term client relationships and expanding business programs over multiple years. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Experience in new business development and creating new client relationships. Strategic mindset, thinking creatively to develop innovative sales approaches tailored to client needs. Strong business acumen and analytical skills, analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and driving growth. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and thriving in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
