Job Opportunity: Registered Manager for a Children's Home in Chorley
Halcyon Health and Social Care are partnering with a local service and delighted to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the role of Registered Manager at a children’s home in the Chorley area, with a competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum. This full-time position entails a Monday to Friday work schedule.

Role Overview
As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our services to meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a successful Registered Manager of Good or Outstanding children's homes. You will be a strong advocate for the children, ensuring their needs remain at the forefront of our operations while also navigating the registration and inspection processes with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of your staff team.
* Manage the residential home with strong leadership, offering regular supervision and ensuring compliance with training requirements.
* Review referrals and select appropriate young people for placement, collaborating with Local Authorities as necessary.
* Maintain the highest standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
* Uphold unconditional positive regard for the young people, while establishing clear boundaries and expectations.
* Manage the home’s budget effectively.
* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager, with a proven track record of achieving Ofsted ratings of 'Good’ or 'Outstanding.’
* Experience in managing Ofsted inspections resulting in a minimum overall 'Good’ rating.
* Strong understanding of Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.
* Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People).
* Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Services or an equivalent qualification.
