We are seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer who is passionate about streamlining production processes in the industrial/manufacturing field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and the ability to utilise automation to optimise manufacturing operations. Client Details Our client is a large organisation renowned for its expertise in the industrial/manufacturing sector. Based in Cambridgeshire, they are recognised for their commitment to innovative solutions and quality products. Description Act as the responsible Electrical and Control Engineer, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high engineering standards. Assist in the development and implementation of site engineering standards and systems to support compliance with EHS regulations and cost control. Develop and deliver the site electrical and control strategy. Continuously improve the site's PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, minimizing the risk of failure and maximizing process benefits. Contribute to the strategic investment approach for the site, providing Electrical and Control System support for CAPEX and small projects aimed at continuous improvement. Work with Project Engineers to plan and cost all Electrical and Control aspects within site-managed projects. Support relevant Electrical and Control System projects to ensure timely and full delivery, meeting site corporate engineering standards. Collaborate with the Engineering & Maintenance team to continuously improve the program for Electrical and Control System Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) to meet EHS, asset replacement, and continuous improvement requirements. Technical support for the Maintenance Team. Monday - Friday - Days Based Profile A successful Electrical & Automation Engineer should have: A recognised qualification in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical or Instrumentation) Knowledge of Engineering systems (e.g., SAP PM). In depth knowledge of control systems (e.g./ PLC/SCADA/DCS). Proven record of delivering improvements LEAN manufacturing experience, including implementation/delivery. Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Excellent team player with strong technical expertise. Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize tasks.
