Job Description
Your role will be to support the Machine & Team Leader to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained for our customer specifications. We have a strong health and safety culture, and therefore you will be accountable for you and your colleagues to create a safe working environment. Working as part of a team, you will play a vital role in meeting the productivity targets and achieving the quality standards on all work produced to our "just in time" deadlines, following the BRCGS accreditation. You will also assist with planned maintenance and cleaning tasks and support improvement initiatives as and when they arise.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead by example to maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety across the site.
* Support the Machine & Team Leader with day-to-day running of the machines and set-up of the jobs.
* Follow written instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
* Adhere to quality checks, maintaining the highest standard for our customer base.
* Spot issues and communicate quickly and clearly.
* Work with our maintenance teams to assist with repairs.
* Contribute to hitting waste targets and keeping a clean and tidy working area.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must have at least two years of manufacturing experience. You will be able to follow procedures, have a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, are numerate with good communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be a team player, proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic to learn new skills to become multi-skilled and ideally, be mechanically minded. You will also be competent with dealing with data and willing to learn and use our IT systems.

* Starting salary £28,219 during probationary period, rising to £29,967 with opportunities for the right candidates to progress to Operator £32.5k and Technician, £35k.
* Current shift pattern is the 3-shift rota, over 5 days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week which includes a paid half an hour lunch break.
