An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lead Gas Engineer to join the Energy Operations team in the North West!
Join our dynamic Energy Operations team and take charge of the vital task of operating and maintaining pressure regulating installations, pipelines, and their associated systems. You'll ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, making a significant impact every day. Be part of a team that values excellence and innovation in energy management!
Key Responsibilities
Energy Operations are looking to develop a multi-skilled team, with further accountabilities around the maintenance of pressure control assets having been introduced as part of the ongoing transformation of the team. These tasks will include (but are not limited to):
* Maintenance Tasks: Perform maintenance on pressure regulating installations up to 85 bar, following policies and procedures.
* Fault Response: Address faults identified by Cadent control systems within the specified service level agreement times.
* Remote Monitoring Support: Assist in the delivery and maintenance of PMAC (remote monitoring/operation).
* Plant Protection Activities: Advise third-party companies on the impact of their work on Cadent assets and supervise nearby excavations.
* Pipeline and Asset Monitoring: Conduct pipeline inspections, condition monitoring, and respond to works near Cadent pipelines.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for people who act with pride, purpose, and ownership to join the team, along with:
* Ideally, proven, and demonstrable experience of working in gas asset operation and maintenance.
* Strong communication and a key focus on safety is essential.
* Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
* Are willing to work flexible hours/attend training.
* Are willing to work on standby (Weekly rota, currently operating at a 1 week in 4 frequency).
