Are you looking for a new Nursing role where you can really make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Epilepsy?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Nurse to join our Health team, supporting a range of students from 5-25 years old. Our children and young people have Epilepsy, Autism and complex learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
As well as our Medical centre, Therapy teams, Wellbeing departments, Diagnostic services and a Research department, our campus includes a Special Needs School and College, 10 Residential houses as well as a working farm.
This is certainly not your average Nursing role!
Your role
We have an opportunity for experienced Nurses to join our small, supportive team. Our team is led and managed by an Epilepsy nurse consultant, 6 nurses, 3 Healthcare assistants, a Pharmacy advisor and assistant and our administrator. The students we support have a variety of complex health care needs, so our Teaching and Residential teams need the backup and support of an experienced and varied Nursing Team.
You will have responsibility for the planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised nursing care. You will also work autonomously within the team as a key Nurse, ensuring that a holistic approach to the health care needs of the students is maintained.
You will find this job teaches you an enormous amount, not just professionally but also on a personal level. The students will teach you about the value of life and the infinite variety of people in this world. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experts on Epilepsy and other relevant subjects which will count towards your Continuing Professional Development.

About Us
Young Epilepsy is the children and young people’s epilepsy charity. Our purpose is to create a society in which children and young people with epilepsy are enabled to thrive and fulfil their potential, in which their voices are respected, and their ambitions realised.
We work with children and young people across the country, as well as many of those people and organisations who shape their lives - parents, health and care professionals, researchers, teachers, policymakers and more.
Informed by young people and drawing on our strong legacy of expertise in education, health and research, we have developed and published our new 2020-2025 strategy. This focuses our work around 4 offers; Learning, Health, Research and Information, with firm foundations in our three value statements:
Young people are at the centre of everything we do
We work together to make a greater difference
We are courageous and ambitious for change
These values will ensure that we always put the voices, the rights and the best interests of children and young people first and commit us to working in partnerships that can increase our impact. They also ensure that we are inspired by the courage and ambition of the young people with whom we work, knowing that together, we can drive the change in society and services we all want to see.
