Job Title: Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, OH Salary: $35,568 Basic Function: Assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, and training the Kent State women's lacrosse team. Reports to Head Women's Lacrosse Coach. Additional Basic Function – if applicable: Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Assist in coaching the women's lacrosse team; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athletes' skills and teamwork. Assist with the development of team strategy; analyze performance of student-athletes. Assist in planning and coordinating meet and practice schedules. Scout and recruit student-athletes. Assist in fundraising activities to subsidize athletic program; may assist in marketing and public relations activities to promote the program. Counsel and advise student-athletes with personal or academic problems. May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance to support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis throughout the year. Perform related duties as assigned. Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience coaching lacrosse. Must be able to travel and to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends. License/Certification: Not applicable. Knowledge Of: National Collegiate Athletics Association and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations Standard practices in student-athlete scouting and recruiting Skill In: Training or instructing student-athletes Written, verbal and interpersonal communication Basic computer skills Ability To: Analyze situations and develop solutions Travel and work non-traditional hours Preferred Qualifications – if applicable: NCAA Division I lacrosse coaching experience. Collegiate lacrosse playing experience. Lacrosse administration and operations Assessments: Asterisk () indicates knowledge, skills, abilities which require assessments Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Typically requires balance, strength, flexibility, and endurance sufficient to demonstrate, teach, and develop skills of student athletes.
