InstaStaff are recruiting for an Injection Mould Tool Setter/ Operator to join a manufacturing company based in Perry Barr.
This is a 12-week temp to perm role, and you will be required to work on a rotational shift, covering one week Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm, and one week Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm.
The duties of the Injection Mould Tool Setter/ Operator will be:
To support in coordinating and carrying out Injection Moulding Machine set up, as well as production start-up, shutdown and change overs making certain that production handovers are effective
Sets up and operates Injection Moulding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials
Installs dies on machine, according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts, and hand tools
Sets machine controls, regulating moulding temperature, volume of plastic, moulding pressure and time, according to knowledge of plastics and moulding procedures
To carry out tool changeovers and tool strip down for basic maintenance and insert changes
Monitoring the Injection Moulding process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks
To record and capture batch records and output figures in line with SOPs and quality control procedures
Troubleshoot and problem solve production processes to resolve issues and suggest and instigate changes to SOPs if required
To package and store products in line with SOPs, some to be packaged ready for shipment
To use automated stock management system ensuring all raw materials and products are bar coded, allocated a location and scanned for goods-inwards and goods-outwards and stored in correct locations in the warehouse
The ideal Injection Mould Tool Setter/ Operator will have:
Experience within a similar role
Excellent spoken, written and reading of English
A working understanding of the mechanics of Injection Moulding and manufacturing equipment
A basic knowledge of computer systems
The salary for the Injection Mould Tool Setter/ Operator will be £15.52 per hour
The hours of work for the Injection Mould Tool Setter/ Operator based on weekly rotational shifts, Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm
