What you’ll be doing
You will support developing SPEN’s regulatory strategy for delivering over £10bn investment in our transmission network, identifying opportunities for SP Energy Networks to deliver for our stakeholders. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, industry and the regulator, you will develop SPEN’s plans for future regulatory price controls. You will lead on policy and regulatory development for key areas of focus for the team, including influencing industry reform, managing supply chain challenges, and developing regulatory frameworks for community benefits and transmission project delivery.
You will advance and develop SPEN’s regulatory strategy, including preparing responses to relevant industry consultations and supporting SP Transmission to comply with its regulatory obligations. You will keep up to date on key regulatory and policy issues and communicate them internally at pace to keep the business informed of wider industry and regulatory activities.
What you’ll bring
Previous experience may include economics, regulation, commercial or policy roles. Other relevant experience will also be considered. You will possess the ability to outline complex issues in a straightforward and succinct way.
Working with, collaborating and influencing multiple stakeholders at all levels – both internal and external, you will display excellent written and oral communication skill, including the ability to influence and persuade effectively. You will be an effective team member with the ability to adapt and prioritise in a fast-paced environment. With strong analytical and numeracy skill, you will display your ability to prioritise and manage a very diverse and demanding workload.
