Appointed Person / Contract Lift Manager - Lifting Operations

We are recruiting an experienced CPCS Appointed Person with AutoCAD experience to be responsible for the planning and management of the company’s projects throughout the UK.
What are my responsibilities?
* Planning and management of lifting operations and safety across Notus Contract Liftings projects.
* Conducting primary and desk-based research to support planning.
* Construct safe systems of work by writing Lift Plans which include Method Statements, Risk Assessments using given information and be able to produce, understand and implement AutoCAD drawings for Lifting purposes.
* Implement and manage health, safety and environmental procedures across Notus projects.
* Always represent Notus in a professional and positive manner in order to reduce the risks associated with commercial and product liabilities.
* Delegating duties but not responsibilities to the Lift Supervisors. Ensure that the Lift Supervisors are fully briefed on all aspects of the Lift Plan and all lifting operations.
* Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, regulations and codes of Practice that relate to all types of lifting duties Inc. basic, standard and complex (as defined by BS7121, LOLER, PUWER).
* Calculate weights and centres of gravity for different types of loads and produce suitable slinging arrangements.
* Calculate lifting equipment point loadings and spreader mat types and sizes from given information.
* Ensure that there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking the necessary actions.
* Identify and plan an area, with exclusion zones, for different, given lifting operations incorporating safe access/egress routes for before, during and after the lift.
* Evaluate and explain how environmental factors and the surrounding area external to the lift zone can affect the planned lifting operation.
* Complete a reflective report following a typical lifting operation detailing positive and negative aspects of the lifts.
* Experience with heavy/crawler crane lift planning.
* Experience with Lift and Shift/Rigging type planning.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
* CPCS Appointed Persons Blue card (Competent Operator).
* Experience of working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* Significant experience of working in an environment of construction sites.
* Construction and Telecoms Industry Knowledge.
* Significant knowledge of LOLER BS7121 / PUWER.
* UK HSE Legislation (CDM, safety management).
* Experience of writing and working with method Statements and Risk Assessments for non-lifting activities.
* Experience of writing and implementing lift plans - essential.
* Experience of establishing, creating and implementing processes in order to enhance personnel management.
* Advanced experience of working within Heavy Lift and Crawler Crane Operations.
* Problem solving and creative thinking.
* Man-management of local and remotely deployed Lifting teams, encompassing varied skill-sets and personal profiles.
* An understanding of Ground Bearing Pressures (GBP’s).
* Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written).
* Demonstration of successful participation within international teams.
* Knowledge of maintenance, examination and testing requirements for lifting equipment and accessories.
* Please note this role is based from in the UK but you may be required to travel away from home regularly with extensive travel across Europe, Middle East and the US.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - ESSENTIAL
* Willing to travel and work within and outside the UK for extensive periods.
* Current and valid driving license.
* Current and valid passport, no restrictions.
