About the Role:
This role involves ensuring the quality of products throughout their lifecycle with Roxel UK. The successful candidate will support product lifecycle quality assurance by inspecting parts and assemblies, identifying non-conformances, and collaborating with colleagues to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect Parts and Assemblies: Conduct thorough inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure they meet drawing and process requirements.
* Minor Repairs and Touch-Ups: Perform minor reworks or touch-ups to make products compliant.
* Operator Compliance: Monitor operators to confirm adherence to manufacturing manuals (MM).
* Non-Conformance Forms: Raise forms as needed and inspect/reapprove rework.
* Workload Management: Manage workload effectively, liaising with cell leaders to complete inspections on time.
* FAIR Generation: Generate, collate, update, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) using Visual Fair.
* CMM Program Management: Create and manage Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs, probes, and software updates.
* Error Resolution: Troubleshoot CMM errors, issues, and collisions.
* CMM Operation: Operate CMM machines as required.
* Inspection Method Creation: Develop inspection methods for underdefined or non-standard inspections.
* Business Procedures: Adhere to relevant business procedures and paperwork.
* Health and Safety: Ensure personal health and safety within the business.
* Mentorship: Mentor new inspectors, share knowledge, and contribute to team progression.
* Audits: Conduct audits as requested (e.g., flash, internal, supplier).
Requirements:
* Apprenticeship Level 3 or Equivalent: Hold an apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Internal Auditor AS/EN9100 Training: Possess internal auditor training in AS/EN9100.
Essential Skills:
* Quality Inspection: Proven experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing/engineering industry.
* CMM Operation/Programming: Ability to operate and program CMM machines.
* FAIR Generation: Proficient in generating and collating FAIR reports.
* Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Problem Solving: Effective problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Root Cause Analysis Tools: Experience using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8Ds, 5 Whys).

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum
