Could you be Incommunities new Safeguarding Officer? We are looking for a Safeguarding specialist, who will progress and manage safeguarding referrals, proving advice and raise safeguarding awareness throughout the organisation. Duties include:
* Progress and managing safeguarding referrals, ensuring that concerns are recorded and managed consistently and promptly.
* Provide specialist advice to Alerting Managers on all aspects of adult and children's safeguarding matters, guiding them through complex cases and best practices.
* Make referrals to statutory services for safeguarding inquiries, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to protect vulnerable individuals.
* Support colleagues in challenging responses from statutory services when necessary, advocating for the best outcomes for those at risk.
* Raise safeguarding awareness throughout the organisation, promoting a culture of vigilance and ownership.
* Identify training and skills gaps related to safeguarding within the organisation, and review, develop, and deliver tailored safeguarding training programs to address these needs.
* Assist the Service Manager in periodically reviewing and updating safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure they align with current duties and best practices.
* Ensure accurate data recording, reporting, and presentation, providing essential insights when required.
* Contribute to serious case reviews, bringing your expertise to ensure thorough and effective evaluations.

Requirements
* Experience working in social housing, support, or care environments, with a focus on case management and working with vulnerable individuals.
* Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practices in safeguarding adults and children at risk of abuse and neglect.
* Proven experience in managing cases involving adults and children at risk of abuse and neglect, including direct engagement and intervention.
* Strong background in liaising with statutory services to ensure the protection and safety of vulnerable individuals.
* Experience working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to address complex safeguarding issues.
* Experience developing and delivering training programs and awareness-raising campaigns on safeguarding topics.
* Expertise in preparing and presenting high-quality reports that summarise and interpret information from different sources.
* Demonstrated experience leading teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
