Early learning / kōhanga reo, In-training teacher
Due to increased occupancy, BestStart Beckenham is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher in-training to join our energetic and tight-knit team. Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community.

About the role:
If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma), we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week Monday–Friday.
You will be based in our nursery, working alongside our under 2 year old tamariki, but will support in our preschool space when needed.

Role requirements:
The successful candidate will have a passion and drive for planning and implementing the 16 areas of play throughout the day along with providing individual care routines. We are also looking for:
* A sound knowledge and understanding of infants' and babies' needs.
* A good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning.
* A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices.
* Great initiative, the ability to think on your feet, good communication skills, and being a team player.
