Job Title: Hub Manager
Reporting to: Nottingham General Manager
Salary: £DOE
Location: Nottingham
Job Summary: Reporting to the General Manager this role is to provide quality management for the Hub on a nightly basis, to ensure all aspects of the operation are maintained in line with procedures. Ensuring all internal and external customers SLAs are met, along with all Key Performance Indicator Targets, whilst maintaining control on the direct costs and staffing levels.
Main responsibilities:
• Always represent DX in a professional manner
• Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling, Safe Working and Health and Safety policies
• Always observe DX procedures and policies
• Manage and control the local and national distribution process to maintain and improve accuracy of sort
• Build and develop the relationship between the Hub, the SC’s and depots to drive efficiency and good practise throughout the network improving SLA’s and trunk departure times
• Identify and achieve efficient savings and cost productivity reviews
• To drive and improve multi skill training within the hub but also working closely with all SC’s
* Ensure DX2 Operatives are fulfilling the handling of goods as per the DX2 SOP
• Compliance with all security standards required surrounding customer contracts
• Undertake regular review of volume forecasts and amend resource planning as appropriate • To encourage a positive working environment that delivers excellent service levels for the customers and generates revenue for the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• PC literate and practised in the use of word, Excel and outlook
• Experience of managing a team
• Preferably experience within a Hub environment in a logistics, mail or secure mail service
