IT Service Delivery Manager

Are you an experienced IT professional looking to take ownership of IT operations in a dynamic, process-driven business? We are seeking a proactive IT Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day IT operations, contribute to IT strategy, and ensure high standards of IT service delivery across the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and safeguarding the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless business operations. You will play a key part in identifying and implementing service improvements, working collaboratively across all business areas to drive efficiency and innovation.
Your Role:
1. Execute and oversee the IT strategy in alignment with the company goals, ensuring effective and timely delivery of IT projects in a Microsoft environment.
2. Manage and mentor the team of IT professionals - supporting the overall IT strategy.
3. Oversee and ensure the service desk operates efficiently, providing outstanding support to all staff members across multiple offices in the UK.
4. Oversee the delivery of IT services within a Microsoft & ITIL environment, ensuring they meet business needs and comply with established SLAs.
5. Support IT infrastructure, including IT security initiatives to ensure robust and reliable systems across the business.
6. Control IT expenditure within the IT budget.
7. Manage 3rd party relationships with consultants and service providers.
8. Collaborate with senior management, including people at the Director level and other stakeholders to understand and address urgent IT needs, to develop a robust IT strategy moving forward.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
* Proven experience in managing IT operations within a Microsoft environment, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, MS Exchange, and Intune CMDB.
* Strong understanding of network fundamentals (VLANs, subnets, port-mirroring) and cybersecurity best practices, ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials or equivalent accreditations.
* Expertise in IT service management (ITIL), IT infrastructure, and operations, ensuring smooth and secure IT service delivery.
* Experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional IT teams, providing guidance, professional development, and support.
* Ability to oversee service desk operations, ensuring high-quality IT support across multiple offices.
* Strong stakeholder management, collaborating with senior management and directors to align IT strategy with business objectives.
* Proactive and solutions-driven, with a can-do attitude toward overcoming IT challenges.
* Exceptional time and priority management, ensuring operational effectiveness across the business.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues.
