Working as a Planning and Logistics Coordinator / Equipment Hire Desk Controller you will manage and optimise logistics planning, coordinate transportation, and ensure timely deliveries to meet customer and internal requirements.
As a Planning and Logistics Coordinator / Equipment Hire Desk Controller you will be the company’s first point of contact for customers, ensuring all communication is dealt with in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Planning and Logistics Coordinator / Equipment Hire Desk Controller will include:
1. Effective resource scheduling
2. Organisation of all movements including but not limited to scheduling, third party transport, suppliers and of the service team
3. Point of contact for customers, ensuring all communications are dealt with in an efficient, friendly and professional manner
4. Cost control management
5. Responsible for availability and allocation of all plant
6. Processing of hire contracts and associated paperwork to include on and off hires
7. Issuing of certificates and always ensuring compliance and adherence to legislation
8. Upkeep of training records
9. Abide by systems and procedures and contribute to continuous improvements
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Previous logistics and/or hire desk experience (or similar) and resource scheduling
2. Ability to commute: own transport essential
3. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft
4. Good written and verbal communication skills
