Job summary
The Friary Surgery are looking to employ a part time Receptionist working 15 hours a week.
Hours of work will be:
Monday 08:00-13:00, Wednesday 13:00-17:30, Friday 13:00-18:30
Opportunity of overtime to cover annual leave/absence.
Enrolment of NHS Pension scheme, five weeks holiday plus bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for booking appointments, checking patients in to the practice, dealing with patient enquiries, as well as patient registrations and issuing prescriptions. Also the scanning of communication on to patients records. Along with navigating patients to the appropriate service.
Knowledge of Systmone would be very useful.
About us
We are a small dispensing practice with a practice population of 5000. The practice consists of three GP's, two Practice Nurses, HCA,GP Assistant and an excellent dispensary and admin team.

Job Description - Receptionist/Care Navigator
Responsible To: Practice Manager
Hours: 15 per week
Receive, assistand direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcareprofessional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide generalassistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image topatients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Provide holidayand sickness cover when required.
Job Responsibilities:
Administration
1. To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
2. To work in accordance of written protocols
3. Filing post in medical records
4. Photocopy as requested
Reception
5. Receiving patients consulting with members of Practice team
6. Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
7. Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
Appointments
8. Process appointment requests for today future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
9. Deal with visits requests
Computer
10. Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records.
11. Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area.
12. Process repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines.
Telephone
13. Have working knowledge of telephone system, during and after hours.
Other Tasks
14. Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm.
15. Make tea/coffee for colleagues
16. Any other tasks allocated by supervisor or manager
17. To carry out training as necessary
