In this interesting role within our Economic Crime and Operational Risk Audit Team, you’ll be supporting audits of a wide range of areas including Branch and Back-Office Operations, HR, Procurement and all aspects of Economic Crime such as Sanctions, Due Diligence and Transaction Monitoring.
You’ll help deliver the audit plan by assisting with planning, conducting field work, testing and assessments. You’ll take personal accountability that all tasks assigned to you meet agreed timescales and comply with quality requirements. You’ll liaise with stakeholders and other business areas and contribute to other activities including running reports, providing commentary and reporting findings to more senior management.

The difference you’ll make:
* Supporting the delivery of the business plan for the Internal Audit Department
* Assessing and managing risks, suggesting remedial actions where appropriate
* Ensuring full compliance with management reporting requirements, policies, and frameworks
* Maintaining effective internal control systems
* Ensuring relevant documents and manuals are kept up to date with relevant sign offs
* Demonstrating cross team collaboration, sharing learning, best practices, and feedback to contribute to overall team effectiveness
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Previous experience in managing risks and controls within a Financial Services environment
* In depth knowledge of Economic Crime or Operational risks
* Ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Previous experience in an audit position
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment and deal with setbacks in a positive manner
* Demonstrable experience of cross team collaboration
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks to ensure quality delivery within defined timescales

This permanent role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
