Estate Services are responsible for delivering a range of services that enhance the safety and appearance of the environment in and around Sandwell Council Estates. Key responsibilities include: Being part of a borough-wide cleaning service, performing various cleaning tasks in communal areas of high and low-rise blocks, sheltered housing schemes, and employee welfare facilities. Working either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary borough-wide cleaning team to complete internal and external cleaning tasks. These tasks may include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, buffing floors, wiping down walls, cleaning windows, door frames, entryways, internal doors, lifts, and more, as directed by the Estate Services Managers or Supervisors. The successful candidate will be expected to: Be flexible to work anywhere within the Sandwell Borough. Follow safe working practices, with knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations. Work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the situation. Adapt to changing priorities and manage uncertainty. Requirements: Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques.
