Devas Engineer Ltd, a leading construction firm, is seeking a talented CAD Technician (Architectural) / Architectural Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our design and planning department, you will contribute to creating innovative and functional architectural solutions. We are seeking to expand our workforce to match our increasing workload and are looking for a motivated CAD technician, proficient with AutoCAD. Knowledge in using Archicad and/or Revit is a plus. The role will include the preparation of planning documents, development of detailed and technical designs, coordination with other consultants, site visits, and preparation of construction documentation mainly through RIBA stages 3-7.
Good knowledge of building regulations in the residential sector is a must, with previous experience preparing building plans and submissions. The selected candidate will be working full-time from our office in Westerham. You must be able to commute to our office at least 3 days/week. Hybrid work model available.
Some key skills for this role include the following:
* Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and good building practice.
* Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD is required for preparing 2D drawings packages.
* 3-5 years experience of using Archicad and/or Revit desirable, not only for 3D modelling but preparing documents ready to be used on site.
* Produce required drawings/documents to assist the Design Team (Architects/Structural Engineers/M&E Engineers) in the production of technical information for the construction process.
* Experience in the residential sector (apartments buildings in particular preferable), with a good knowledge & understanding of the Building Control Regulations.
* Experience with technical design and ability to read, understand, and quality check construction drawings and specifications.
* Consulting & researching information about construction details and installation methods.
* Meeting deadlines and working both alone and with a team.
