Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:15am- 15:15pm
Start: Monday4th November 2024.
Pay: £12.90-£13.20 per hour.
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a valued and caring team, supporting students with diverse needs. This role involves providing hands-on support to pupils who require assistance with personal care, including toileting, tube feeding, and other daily activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with personal care, including toileting, feeding and other hygiene needs.
* Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and support learning activities in the classroom.
* Foster a safe, positive, and supportive environment that respects the dignity and needs of all pupils.
* Monitor and record the progress of pupils, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents where necessary.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or adults with complex needs or a willingness to learn.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with a strong commitment to supporting the needs of every child.
* The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
* A willingness to undertake training for tube feeding and other specialist care needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting students/ vulnerable adults with additional needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
